What do you do when you attend a local church and someone there hurts or wrongs you somehow? Automatically quit that church? Or do you try to investigate the incident with the person or people? If possible, try to settle the situation.

If not, you can consider finding a new church home. There are many out there. One thing to consider is to take a look at yourself. Are you offended over something petty or an issue that doesn't matter? That might be worth taking a look at. Regardless, if you want a church home to worship God, then be aware that people aren't perfect, and no matter where you go, there will be someone you may not see eye to eye with.

Make your purpose to seek God and learn what the Bible teaches.

In today’s world of internet services, where phones and computers are connected to them, the world and its good and bad things are, for the most part, wide open to anyone. Even your kids!

Online apps and websites like Facebook, X, Instagram, Snapchat, and a long list of online services are viewable by virtually anybody. And the actual services might be mostly OK, but a link from any of those websites can lead to some very dark places. Places you don’t want your kids going. Probably not you, either!

Many things can happen. They can make friends online and have conversations with a child predator or worse. The sexual content is highly graphic and wide open to anyone. Kids don’t need to be exposed to these things.

Whatever you must do to monitor and restrict your kid’s access to these things is mandatory if you want your kids to grow up not being exposed to these things. The damage done if you don’t can be lifelong and destructive.

Anxious Processing Lady

When women don’t feel like they are being heard, some react by getting anxious and repeating and repeating the situation they are anxious about. Not all women do this, but many do. On the other side, men tend not to be sure what their wife or girlfriend is talking about. Or they sometimes tune out, ultimately raising their wife’s or girlfriend’s anxiety level.

Both sides have accountability in this. The female side of this is frustrated by a lack of understanding and feeling they are being heard. The male side of this can tune out completely and not be accountable for their side of this.

None of this is good and should be dealt with on both sides. This is where a trained counselor can see the husband and wife together or separately and see precisely what is happening.
