Interpersonal Relationships

Help My Kid Just Got A Cell Phone – Episode 2

In this video counselors Dr Kevon Owen and Jack Smith are talking about “Help My Kid Just Got A Cellphone – Episode 2”. Communication devices are everywhere today and used for various purposes. When you as a parent allow you kid to have and use a cellphone, tablet, laptop or any other communications device it must come with some regulation. It can be used for tracking your kid as a safety measure and a way for your child to tell you everything is Ok. Just remember they probably are watching you to see how you use yours. Be a good role model for them to see.

Or if left unattended with a youth not so safe things can creep in. Messaging with people you wouldn’t want your child talking to. Bullying and abuse on social media. Nude and sexual acts on display not blocked in any way. Actual addiction to gaming and other activities not suitable for children and teenagers. The list can be very long on these matters. If you find yourself with a child or teenager that has developed a problem with a cellphone or other device remember you in most cases parents provided that to them and you can also take it away when abused.
