I’m sorry but(t)?

In this video counselors Dr Kevon Owen and Brent Hazelrigg are talking about ” I’m sorry but(t)?”. In our dealings with others the comment I’m sorry but? tells the other person that we may be sorry but there is another part of that we tend to qualify as not really being sorry but handing that other person some of the blame or whatever might be attached to that statement. Being truly sorry for our actions or speech without qualifying it with “but” may not be the easiest way of conveying your feelings about the situation but not hanging anyone else with the responsibility and just being truly sorry yourself will go a long way to healing and rectifying what has happened.
